We offer Both Barn Hunt and Nasda Lessons and Practices (and have trials for both!!)  We have a Lot of options available and are happy to cater to Your needs!   You can play with Barn Hunt, Nasda or both!

Private sessions:   $1/minute for Whatever you want to learn or work on!  You may work on finding rats, tunnels, or both!  No limit on time on the courses.   Newbies and Beginners are absolutely welcomed.  

I LOVE teaching new people and their dogs!  And, I'm happy to help established teams... and be able to offer a fun place for people to enjoy their dogs!  Please contact me to set up a day/time for privates.

We also offer Group Practices AND Mini Group Practices!!  They are designed to simulate a trial like environment and are a lot of fun!   Great way to meet new people!  (Prices range from $10-$20/dog)

*Please note, "some" experience Is Required to participate in Group Practices.

NEW:   Private (Self) Practices (w/o instruction) are now available during the week, evenings and weekends (that we aren't holding a trial). This is for people that Have Experience and don't "need" assistance, but just want to practice.  You must have attended at least one private, group or semi-group practice here (so you know the routine and handling of the rats).  Rats will be gotten out for your use.  $20/half hour.

We currently have FOUR courses to work on...  A Master course,  a Crazy 8's course, a Senior course, and an Open course with a beginner Novice course that will help you hone your skills.    We also have a Designated Line Drive course!  We try to change the courses around periodically and have tunnels for all levels  (currently we have 6 different tunnels to practice with).   As we have trials here nearly every month, most courses have been designed by our amazing judges!  (Full Rate schedule is available on the "Rates" page).  Please inquire for more info regarding these, or clinics, or upcoming trials, etc...  and feel free to join our FB Page, "Springhill's Rat Pack" for all of the above info as well as fun brag pics,  etc.

Everyone is welcome!  Beginners to Experienced... All breeds, shapes and sizes!  We have something for everyone!  Whether it be Barn Hunt or Nasda or even Rally, Obedience, Tricks, CGC, Agility, Swimming, Fetch, or ?? ... (See rates page for more info)   Come join us and have fun with your dogs!

• Liability Waivers are required for all participants and guests.  The Oregon Equine Inherent Risk Law is applicable to Everyone who enters this property as it is primarily an Equine Facility, and as such all persons shall be bound by ORS  30.687-30.697 (It is recommended that you familiarize yourself with this statute and know your legal rights).  And, although this IS an Equine Facility, IF you are coming to play in Suzy's Barn Hunt, You are Not allowed in any of the Other Barns or Horse Areas without prior permission.  (If you would like a tour, I'm happy to show you around if I have time).

• All dogs currently under the care of a veterinarian for a medical or surgical condition, and all dogs 12 years or over, May require a veterinary consent form (or prior approval from me where you can show me your dog is healthy and capable and you accept all risks) before climbing on bales or hunting rats. 

•All dogs must be on leash at all times unless they are Inside the Barn Hunt Fenced area.  

• Please make sure that your dog goes potty prior to your appointment.   Dogs also often have to take potty breaks during their hunt times, and hunting can get them excited and some dogs think that hay is a great area to relieve themselves in...  Please do NOT let your dog potty in the barn hunt area!  

IF they have a mistake, Please make sure to advise us of it, as we Must clean/sanitize the area.  

ALL Dogs that relieve themselves in the area MAY be assessed a $10 fee.    (I haven't yet charged this, But Try to Avoid this by making sure you Potty your dogs Regularly and teach them Not to relieve themselves in/on hay... as it's an Instant NQ in a trial... so best to Not allow it to happen!).

IF you have a male that you are concerned might want to "mark", please bring a belly band so that we can protect the hay while they are learning.  Once they understand the game, accidents rarely happen.

There are specific areas in which to potty your dog, Please make sure you know Where is Ok and where is Not Ok.  (For example, My agility area and gardens and plants and side of building are Not Ok)...

Please pick up after your dog...  Waste bags are provided for your use if you forget yours!

Barn Hunt is the new and quickly growing dog sport catching fire across the country! Barn Hunt is based on the traditional roles of many breeds in ridding farms, barns, crop storage areas, and homes of destructive vermin. Some breeds were specifically created to fill this role, and for many of those breeds, Barn Hunt provides their first true opportunity for responsible breeders to test proper working traits in their dogs. Barn Hunt is also open to any dog of any breed or mix who wishes to play the game and can fit through an 18" wide by bale-height tall tunnel. Barn Hunt has titles, levels of increasing difficulty, and championships. Barn Hunt is an independent sport, but titles are recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC), the United Kennel Club (UKC), and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). We're a great sport for older dogs, and older people too! Tripod dogs can compete, and so can deaf dogs.
